Charcoal Landscapes

  • Nevada Fine Arts 1301 South Virginia Street Reno, NV, 89502 United States (map)

Drawing landscapes can be intimidating; how can we capture so much space and distance in one drawing? I promise you, not only can this be done, but YOU can be the one to do it. This class will teach you simple tricks for fitting all that nature into one frame. We will cover how to compose your landscape, how to block in shadows and highlights, atmospheric perspective, which details to keep and which to leave up to the imagination, and more! By the end of this class, you will have gained confidence in your landscape drawing abilities and have developed your skills to prepare you for drawing in Plein air!

This is a class for ALL ability and skill levels. Beginners are welcome!
