In this class we will learn specific techniques for drawing birds. We will cover how to properly proportion a bird’s body, basic bird anatomy, tips and tricks for drawing birds in nature, and some bonus color theory material! Hint: The color wheel you’ve grown up with is a LIE! If you would like to know the secret mysteries of the true color wheel and have fun drawing some beautiful feathered friends, come join me for this awesome class!

This is a class for ALL ability and skill levels. Beginners are welcome!

Materials Needed

Please bring the following materials to class with you. You are welcome to bring materials from home if you have them but if not, all materials listed are available in the Nevada Fine Arts store! Non-photo blue prismacolor pencil, Yellow prismacolor pencil, True Blue prismacolor pencil, Magenta prismacolor pencil, White prismacolor pencil, Black prismacolor pencil, Magic rub eraser.

Optional: 8x10” drawing paper sketchbook

*I will provide paper for the class but I recommend having your own pad for future art projects.
